ComplianceWire Support: Shockwave Notice
Please be aware that Adobe updated Shockwave to Version 11 (SLIM version only) on March 25, 2008.
Because some ComplianceWire courses require the FULL version of Shockwave (the latest being 10.3), you may experience problems if you use Version 11 or any of the SLIM versions of Shockwave. Additionally, some of our clients have experienced problems using Shockwave 10.3 or earlier because their version of the software has been corrupted. If you have experienced such problems, we recommend you take these steps to uninstall and reinstall the software.
Confirm that Shockwave Version 10.3 is installed on your computer:- Go to www.compliancewire.com
- Click the “System Information” link on the left side of the page to display a window confirming the version of Shockwave installed on your computer. If you have upgraded Shockwave to Version 11 or if your machine is configured to automatically update as new versions are made available, you will need to install an earlier version of Shockwave.
Note: Your company's IT policies may prohibit you from downloading and installing applications. Please check with your IT services area if you aren't sure of your administrative settings.
Install Shockwave Version 10.3:- Close all browser windows, then uninstall Shockwave Version 11 using the ADOBE uninstall program located here: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/
- Reinstall the FULL version of Shockwave v. 10.3 by clicking the URL, based on your computer's operating system:
Windows XP | Windows 2000
- Follow Shockwave instructions (This will take a few minutes to install)
- Confirm your Shockwave version and restart your computer.
If your system is set to automatically upgrade as updates become available, we recommend that you disable that feature.
