The Canadian Food Inspection Agency launches pilot program with
Kaplan EduNeering to augment scientific training for inspectors
September 25, 2007 - Princeton, New Jersey - Kaplan EduNeering, a leading provider of knowledge management solutions to assure regulatory compliance and improve business performance, will provide the Canadian Food Inspection Agency/Agence canadienne d’inspection des aliments with educational resources in a pilot program to augment the Agency’s training for Canada’s federal food inspectors. The courses were co-developed by Kaplan EduNeering and the US Food and Drug Administration for the training of US food inspectors and investigators.

Kaplan EduNeering’s will provide computer-based courses from its Food Safety Curriculum, translated into French: Foodborne Illness Investigations 4: Conducting a Food Hazard Review and Foodborne Illness Investigations 5: Epidemiological Statistics. The courses are part of Kaplan EduNeering’s curriculum of 100+ courses developed for the FDA Office of Regulatory Affairs’ virtual university.
Kaplan EduNeering’s curricula form the basis of FDA’s computer-based training of inspectors and investigators for the food, pharmaceutical, medical device and biologics industries. These same courses are available to Kaplan EduNeering’s corporate clients and other government agencies through a unique Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) between the company and the FDA.
